From ALIYU YUSUF, Damaturu

Addressing the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party in Damaturu, Yobe state, National chairman of the party, Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke said it was only the ANPP that spelt out some conditions to the PDP government that the latter had followed accordingly.
According to him, some of the conditions include the formation of Government of National Unity, Election Reform, the setting up of a body to handle electoral malpractices and the need for equal sharing of grants to all parties.
He disclosed that ANPP was waxing stronger than any other party in the country despite efforts by some disgruntled elements from other parties to cause confusion in the party, adding that the ANPP will continue to give healthy opposition for the progress of the country and not for its disintegration.

Earlier Governor Mamman Bello Ali of Yobe state had thanked the ANPP for the honour done the state to host the NEC meeting and expressed the party’s determination of his administration to actualize the objectives of the party in transforming the life of the people.
The governor, who highlighted efforts of his government in the provision of social amenities  said to cushion the effect of the soaring prices of food items, the state government has embarked on public sale of assorted grains at subsidized prices, observing that the government’s intervention has forced market forces in the state to bring down the price of bag of maize to N2,500.
