Police nab 8 robers

EIGHT out of the 30 suspected armed robbers that undertook series of armed robbery in Katsina metropolis have been arrested by the police in the state.
Our correspondent learnt that the arrest of the suspeacted robbers has brought a great relief to the people of the state.
Daily Triumph recalled that the suspected armed robbers recently carried out operation at different locations of the state where they rob innocent citizens.
It was further learnt that the residence of ‘Yan Tayoyo are the worst victims of the robbery as most of them lost properties and million of naira.
However, the arrest of one suspected armed robber by a joint mobile police along Katsina-Kano road has succeeded in arresting seven other armed robbers.
In a statement signed by police Public Relations Officer, ASP, Adamu Yusuf said all those arrested confessed in taking part in armed robberies in the state.
He named the arrested armed robbers as Abubakar , Garba Yusuf, Ibrahim Abubakar and Lawal Nadarada.
Others include Halilu D. Sabo and Lawal Ibrahim.
ASP Yusuf said the police had recovered items from the suspected armed robbers such as AK 47 rifle with thirty rounds of live ammunition and one rifle with thirty-two rounds of live immunities.
Other items recovered include one pump action rifle with twenty-two rounds of live ammunitions and one empty magazine of G3 riffle.
Also recovered include one iron knife, one bottle of rifle servicing oil and some charms.
ASP Adamu said investigation is going on in an attempt to arrest armed robbers who are at large.
‘’The command assured the general; public of its readiness to serve and protected them at all time” he said.
He called on general public to assist the police with information about the hide out of men of under-world.
