Pillars FC fans applaud Shekarau
KANO state governor Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has been commended for reconstituting the management committee of Kano Pillars football club.
The decision, according to Kano Pillars supporters club, is a welcome development that will see to the realization of the club's dream of picking the continental tickets by the close of the season.
The Pillars supporters club’s Public Relation Officer (PRO), Alhaji Hassan Yaro Matashin Dan Kasuwa, said that the wise counsel of the ministry of information, youth, sports and culture under the able leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Garba to the state governor to effect changes to the management committee of the club before the commencement of the league season, is an indication that Malam Ibrahim Shekarau is a listening leader who takes cognisance of the yearnings of the people.
The fans club noted that the appointment of Alhaji Mohammed Tukur Babangida and his team was the best at the moment for the club.
Alhaji Yaro further said that those presently on the board of the club are tested and seasoned sports administrators that will propel the club to greater height.
The fans club, he explained, will continue to give its moral support to the club for it to excel in both National Challenge Cup and the Premier League, as well as maintain the supporters club position as the best behaved supporters club in the country.
He also commended the Alhaji Tukur Babangida led management committee for their prompt payment of the outstanding debts owed the players and officials of the club by previous management committees.
