Ahmad S. Nuhu, 2 others perish in
auto-accident

One of the most popular Hausa artistes and Best Actor of the
year 2004 (Yahoo Awards), Ahmad S. Nuhu is dead. He died along
with two of his friends namely Hamza (Hamzooh) and Abubakar (Didos),
along Azare-Kano road, Monday, after the tyre of the car they
were driving burst, resulting into a ghastly accident that
claimed their lives.
Reports reaching our desk indicate the deceased were returning
from a concert that took place in Maiduguri to celebrate the
recently observed Eid-el Kabir.
The late Hausa artiste, better known as Prince was born on
February 15th, 1976 to a reknowned scholar late Malam Abubakar
Sadiq and Hajiya Hajara.
He attended Islamiyya and Primary schools in Jos and obtained a
secondary school certificate at Jingre in 1994. Before he joined
the Nigerian movie industry, the late Ahmad S. Nuhu worked has a
stint as a civil servant in Kano.
Late Ahmad rose to the top shot starting his career as a guest
appearance in the 1999 smashing hit "Dijangala", directed by a
veteran Director late Tijjani Ibrahim.Sarauniya Films
re-launched him in their movie "Linzami da Wuta", after which "Almustapha"
and "Akasi" followed.
Among the super-hits of the late veteran actor were "Mujadala",
"Ukuba", "Tawakkalli", "Sarmadan", "Nazari", "Soyyaya", "Guda"
and "Sansani" among others.
Rated as one of the most versatile actors in Northern Nigeria in
particular and Nigeria as a whole, the late Prince was gifted to
slip into any role given to him be it a comedy, love, family,
conflict or action.
The late Ahmad S. Nuhu was once the Best Supporting Actor
(MOPPAN Film Awards 2005) in the film "Zabari", Best Producer
(YAHOO Film Awards 2003) in the film ‘’Khusufi’’ and Best
Producer (YAHOO Film Awards 2004) in the film ‘’Sansani.’’
Late Prince Ahmad S. Nuhu met Hafsat Shehu when she was cast by
his uncle in one of their home productions, "Zabari", where she
made her debut. They were regarded a cute pair by the audience
thereafter leading to their marriage.
The late famous actor once boasted of appearing in more than a
150 films to his credit, some of which were shot in Saudi
Arabia, Gabon and Niger Republic.
The deceased left behind his pregnant wife and a film Production
Company called Sadiq Movieton. May he and his friends' soul rest
in peace, ameen. |
