Marwa accepts PDP presidential primaries
Defeated PDP presidential aspirant Buba Marwa has said he accepted the outcome of the primaries in good faith and pledged loyalty to the party.
Marwa who spoke at a new year party organised in his honour by Sen. Abubakar Girei in Yola on Tuesday, cautioned his supporters against condemning the primaries.
Marwa said: ``If I am contented with the conduct of the primaries no one should, on my behalf, disagree with the conduct.''
He explained that he had expressed his loyalty to the party and support to Governor Musa Yar'adua who emerged as the party's presidential candidate.
``No matter how much you love me to become president, if am not destined to become president you cannot make it happen.
``And no matter your hatred against me, if am destined to be president you cannot stop me. So let us all have faith in God," he said.
Marwa assured the people that the crisis generated by the governorship primaries in Adamawa would be resolved.
Girei is one of the nine aggrieved PDP's governorship aspirants in the state.
