RUMFOBA holds end of year dinner

RUMFOBA Old Boys Association class ’81 has organized an end of the year dinner at Nassarawa Guest Inn, Kano.
Speaking during the occasion, chairman of the chapter, Malam Inuwa Habib, said the dinner was organized to improve members relationship and evolve ways of assisting each other especially the class members.
According to him, they have discussed ways of assisting the chapter during a special dinner organized in honour of the Speaker, Kano state House of Assembly, Alhaji Balarabe Sa’idu Gani.
He explained that the chapter has deceased members who left behind wives and orphans and therefore stressed the need for fashioning out ways of generating income to assist them.
The chairman also used the opportunity to thank some members for their contribution to the development of the chapter, among them are former Kano state commissioner, Rabi’u Sulaiman Bichi, Alhaji Ali Auwalu and Dr. Nura.
He announced that another meeting of the association will be held in March 2007 to discuss important issues that will move the chapter and its members forward.
In his welcome address, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar, who is the chairman, Organizing Committee of class ‘81 chapter dinner, said the dinner was the most memorable in the past 25 years and thanked God for making it a success.
Speaking with newsmen after the dinner, one of class ’81 chapter member, Barrister Inuwa Waya, said such gathering reminds them of their childhood relationship.
Barrister Waya also called on his schoolmates to realize that whatever they possess in terms of wealth or position in the society is the will of God and should use it to assist one another.
He called on the government to redouble its efforts in the education sector and give proper consideration to post primary school education.
He said as a teacher, Governor Ibrahim Shekarau deserved commendation for doing his best toward moving the education sector forward.
