Ac establishes reconciliation committee
Ondo state Ac Wednesday, set up a committee to resolve the crisis generated by the conduct of its governorship primaries but upheld the candidature of Mr Ademola Adegoroye.
The state chairman of the party, Mr Sola Iji, told newsmen, Wednesday, in Akure that Adegoroye emerged after a run off in the primaries and the candidate's credentials had been forwarded to INEC.
``It is legitimate for some of the aspirants to express reservations but the conduct of the primaries and run-off was transparent,'' he said.
``There will be the need in the final analysis to discuss with others for the purpose of reconciling them with the candidate of the party.
``This is essential because as a political family, all of us have to work together to ensure that our party wins the general elections in the state.
The gathering was attended by notable personalities, including the AC's governorship candidate, Sen. Makanjuola Ajadi, his counterparts from AD and Accord Party.
``That is our mission, that is our aspiration, and that is what will be in the overall interest of members of the party in the state, including the aggrieved aspirants," he said.
