CPP calls for credible leaders
Citizens Popular Party (CPP) has called on Nigerians to vote for
credible and trustworthy leaders in the 2007 elections.
In a statement issued Wednesday in Abuja by the party's Director
of Media Affairs, Mr Terna-Gold Dam, he advised the people to
resist attempts to rig the elections.
CPP noted that the task of nation-building was a collective
responsibility.
The destiny of the nation, it observed, would be defined this
year because of the expected first ever civilian to civilian
transition.
He urged politicians to embrace democratic ideals and abhor
politics of bitterness that could abort the emerging democracy.
According to him, this year offers a fresh start for Nigerians
to appraise themselves and take patriotic actions that would
foster brotherhood. |
