Project monitoring C‘ttees set up in Katsina

COMMITTEES are to be established in Katsina state to monitor the execution of community projects, the commissioner of social development youths women affairs and sport, Engr. Muttaqa Rabe Daura has revealed.
He told newsmen in Katsina that the monitoring of the community projects is to ensure that donations provided to them by the state government are utilized effectively.
Engr. Daura explained that proper monitoring and supervision of donations for the communities by government would make them give more support and encouragement to the communities and perform creditably.
“Any community that fail to utilize the donation effectively will be sanctioned,“ he warned.
Engineer Daura salutes the courage and determination of some communities for executing viable projects.
“Government would not relent in its efforts of improving the living condition of the people especially at the rural areas,“ he stated.
Engr. Daura explained that the present administration in the state from 1999 to date, executed projects at the rural areas in areas of the provision of water, electricity, roads and construction of hospitals.
He further said government had continued and rehabilitated earth dams to serve as source of water supply for domestic animals and irrigation farming.
