Shekarau refuses to trade words with Buhari…Says God gives power

KANO state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has avoided joining issues with the presidential flagbearer of his party – ANPP, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari who in his Sallah message to the people of Kano state, did not openly endorse the governor as he did four years ago.

CNPP urges NASS to impeach presidency
The CNPP has called on the National Assembly to impeach the presidency because of the lingering feud rocking the institution.
CNPP is an umbrella of opposition political parties seeking good governance and sustainable democracy in the country.
It made the appeal in a statement entitled ``Danger Signals From Presidency: Time Bomb Against Democracy'' made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the weekend in Abuja and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Osita Okechukwu.

Shekarau to LG administrators: Be fair, just to all

LOCAL government councils sole administrators for the 36 local government areas out of the 44 local government areas of Kano state have been sworn-in by the state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.
Performing the function yesterday, Malam Shekarau called on the new sole administrators to ensure the success of the on-going voters registration exercise across the state..

Prime FC defeats Kano Pillars 1,0
From ADO SALISU, Ekiti
NEWLY-introduced Prime FC of Oshogbo Osun state yesterday defeated Kano Pillars 1-0 in the week one of the Premier League at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ekiti state.
The match attracted large crowd of spectators including the Ekiti state governor, Brigadier General Tunde Olurin (rtd). Both sides made several attampts to score, but no goal was produced throughout the first half.
The only goal of the encounter came in the 50th minute through Daniel Monday, however, Aminu Sa`id was given a matching order due to hard tackling..
