Prime FC defeats Kano Pillars 1,0
From ADO SALISU, Ekiti
NEWLY-introduced Prime FC of Oshogbo Osun state yesterday defeated Kano Pillars 1-0 in the week one of the Premier League at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ekiti state.
The match attracted large crowd of spectators including the Ekiti state governor, Brigadier General Tunde Olurin (rtd). Both sides made several attampts to score, but no goal was produced throughout the first half.
The only goal of the encounter came in the 50th minute through Daniel Monday, however, Aminu Sa`id was given a matching order due to hard tackling.
Governor Brig. General Tunde Olurin was happy with the result and want the newly-promoted Prime FC to improve on their performance.
The handful of handy Pillars fans who made the long trip South to watch their team might feel that Daniel’s goal was cruel but on the balance of play, Pillars deserved to win.
