From January 11 to 15 the sports hall of the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano will become a beehive of activities as over 20 coaches will gather for a six-day course to upgrade their knowledge of the game ahead the new season, reports Segun Ikuesan in Lagos.
According to the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF, Segun Akinlotan the coaches were those who passed the Module-1 course held in the nation’s capital, Abuja in 2005.
Akinlotan told africansportsdigest.com that the course is to position the nation coaches for the challenges ahead and to update their knowledge about the latest techniques of the game.
The course instructor for the clinic is Kenyan Samuel Wanjobi, who is expected to arrive Lagos Wednesday and will move straight to Kano same day for the programme which commences the following day.
