Baure council distributes drugs to dispensaries

DRUGS and other medical equipments worth millions of naira have been purchased and distributed to dispensaries and health centres in Baure local government council of Katsina state.
Speaking while launching the distribution exercise, Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Abu Dan Malam Karofi, commended the local council for the supply of the materials.
Alhaji Karofi described health as an important aspect in the overall development of any society.
The special adviser therefore urged heath personnel entrusted with the drugs to make judicious use of adding that people in the area should also cooperate with health personal in the discharge of their duties.
Alhaji Karofi also spoke on some viable agricultural programmes introduced in the state by the councils such as irrigation, bee-keeping, animal production and fishery.
Earlier, the chairman of Baure local government, Alhaji Muhammad Nasidi Danladi enumerated some of the projects executive by the local council which were targeted to the improvement of people’s wellbeing.
Some of the projects inspected by the special adviser included the upgrading of Yarmaulu dispensery, the supply of drugs and other medical equipment, fish selling center and cooperative shops among others.
