Citizen worries over rate of robbery

A citizen of Charanchi local government council in Katsina state, Malam Sani Shu’aibu Radda, has expressed concern over the alarming rate of armed robbery in some parts of the country, especially along Katsina/Kano road.
Speaking to our reporter in an exclusive interview, Malam Radda blamed the government for not doing enough to ensure efficient security in the country.
He said today, Nigerians sleep with one eye open due to the fact that government could not provide adequate security to its citizens, and therefore called on the authorities concerned to redouble efforts towards checking the ugly trend.
Malam Radda expressed the hope that the federal government would not allow the situation to continue, pointing out that there is the need for the government to ensure adequate protection of lives and property of its citizens.
He appealed to Islamic scholars and traditional rulers, as well as the entire people across the country, to always pray for Allah’s continued protection.
