INEC registers 3m voters in Kano state
The INEC has so far registered three million voters in Kano state, according to the Public Relations Officer, Malam Garba Mohammed.
Mohammed, told newsmen in Kano that the figure represented more than two-third of the targetted number of voters in the state.
He also disclosed that the commission was now in possession of 2,344 Direct Data Capture Machines, which according to him, is more than the 2,019 required.
He said that the initial hitches encountered at the beginning of the exercise was over, and that it was now progressing without hitches in all the 44 local governments area of the state.
He gave the assurance that the exercise would be completed before the deadline.
