Ali Kwara shocked over release of armed robbers
By UMAR DANLADI ADO

A renowned Bauchi- based anti-robbery crusader, Alhaji Ali Kwara Azare has expressed shock over continued release without trial of arrested armed robbers in the country.
Alhaji Azare told Daily Triumph that majority of suspected robbers reported themselves and requested an accommodation at his Azare home town, adding that those he arrested and handed them over to the Inspector General of Police for further investigations and arraingnment before the court were mostly released on bail.
He observed that such release of suspects is a threat to his life and security and expressed fear on the decision reached after a bribe is received from the suspects, relatives.
Alhaji Azare explained that the release of armed robbers included a popular notorious syndicate which involved a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) arrested at Ganjuwa town in Bauchi state last year.
Others are the suspected gang leaders named Kachalla Dutsi and Alhaji Sada appointed as special assistant on security matters to one state governor (named withheld).
He further explained that last year alone, he arrested a large number of armed robbers and ammunition dealers with their sophisticated weapons as exhibits and handed them over to security agents in their states of origin for onward trial in court.
Alhaji Kwara then appealed to security agents to trace the where- about of both the released suspects and the ammunition dealers to ensure that they face the wrath of the law.
