Bizman cautions Bauchi
politicians against violence
From SULE ALIYU, Bauchi
APPARENTLY disturbed by increasing rate of political violence
and campaigns of calumny in Bauchi state,Alhaji Nasiru Bababa
has advised politicians aspiring for electing offices, to
caution their supporters against over heating the polity in the
interest development of the state.
Speaking at an interactive session with representatives of South
Korean textile manufacturing company at his guest house in
Bauchi, the business mogul, Alhaji Bababa opined that, for the
state economy to pick up and attain an appreciable level of
development that can cater for the needs of the people, the
politicians must behave themselves and create a level-praying
ground for the polity to thrives along a conclusive business
environment as obtained in other advanced countries.
According to the textile merchant, ‘’behaviour and utterances of
some politicians now parading themselves as contestants for
electives offices are not encouraging, most especially those of
us that are in the investment sub-sector of the economy, we get
frightened when we see those miscreants on the streets chanting
war songs and shamelessly brandishing deadly weapons in the name
of politics he stressed.’’
Alhaji Bababa, added that, as responsible personalities who are
aspiring to lead others through the mandate of the people, the
gubernatorial candidates of the various political parties should
close ranks, understand their differences, embrace one another
and introduce scientific politics into the system to realize
their ambition, rather than allowing miscreants and political
hoodlums to tarnish their images and create a confusion that may
eventually derail the entire system.
‘’Why should these respected gentlemen that are spending their
finances allow miscreant to destroy the system ? They should
either act now in our collective interest or drop the idea and
venture into something else”,he explained.
Commenting on the performance of the PDP in Bauchi state to his
guests, the business mogul explained that, ‘’Bauchi state
government, under the able leadership of Alhaji (Dr) Ahmadu
Adamu Mu’azu, Walin Bauchi, has performed creditably well in the
provision of infrastructures for industrial development and what
the state needs for its industrial revolution to success, power
supply and security of lives and property effective from may
29,2007 was set ’’.
Bababa who appreciated the efforts of the present administration
in the state towards industrial development, pointed that,
worthy of mention, is the foresight of the state ministry of
housing and environment that built several shopping complex in
the state to address the needs of the business communities. That
was a laudable development and we hope this in-coming
administration will improve on that, as well as improve services
at the industrial areas to attract more investors.’’

were in Bauchi on a private visit to discuss areas of
cooperation with their counterpart in business for the benefit
