Emir Bayero canvasses support for
fire service

THE Emir of Kano, Alhaji (Dr.) Ado Bayero has tasked the general
public to give maximum support and cooperation to the fire
service personnel to enable them carry out their duties
effectively.
The Emir made the call while launching six vehicles (fire
engine) which the Kano state government provided to the command.
Alhaji Bayero who commended the state government initiative,
enjoined the public to be providing space for the fire service
whenever they are on emergency service to enable them to conduct
their activities of protecting lives and properties of the
public.
He also called on the command to be sending its men to further
their studies with a view to enabling them have more experience
in the discharge of their assignment.
In his remark, the commissioner of works and housing, Prof. Abdu
Salihi, said Kano state government has spent N15.825,600 and
N24.6 for the purchase of the vehicles and rehabilitating of 22
others.
Also speaking, the director of the state fire service, Alhaji
Umar Muhammad Soron Dinki appealed to the emir to provide them
with space at the emirate council, Kofar Kudu, so as to assign
one of the vehicles to take care of the area.
In another development, the AIG in charge of zone I, Sir. K.Z
Dudari, the commissioner of police, MD Abubakar and Comptroller
of prison, Alhaji Suleiman Marafa has condoled with the emir
over the death of the district head of Nassarawa, the Danburan
Kano, Alhaji Salihi Bayero. |
