Yar’adua to concentrate on devlpt projects...says Safana

CHAIRMAN of ‘Yar’adua Youth Mobilization (North west) Alhaji Ahmad Dayyabu Safana has said that the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Umaru Musa ‘Yar’adua would concentrate on implementing policies that will bring development to the country, especially in the areas of agriculture, education, economic development unemployment, and health sectors among others.
Addressing a press conference in Kano, Safana said ‘Yar’adua cannot be a stooge to President Obasanjo if he is elected president in the forthcoming election, saying people should stop thinking that if ‘Yar’adua becomes president, Obasanjo will teleguide him.
The chairman said that whoever knows Matawallen Katsina will agree that he can never be a stooge to anyone saying: “No one can control him as some people are expecting.
“Yar’adua is matured, educated, committed and sincere and he will not allow himself to be used as a stooge.”
Safana dismissed the allegations that the PDP presidential candidate has promised to continue with Obasanjo’s policies saying what Yar’adua has said, was that he will ensure the implementation of good policies that are meant for moving the country forward through the party manifestoes.
He also called on the presidential candidates from the North to step down in the favour of ‘Yar’adua, adding that politicians in the North should not misuse the opportunity and should be given a chance to rule Nigeria in the next coming election.
The chairman also called on the electorate to rally round ‘Yar’adua, saying they will not be disappointed.
