ANPP, AC alliance talks shift to U.S.
The working alliance talks between the ANPP and AC on the upcoming general elections has shifted to the United States.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered at the two party secretariats yesterday in Abuja, that leading officials left the country for the U.S. this morning.
Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, the AC presidential candidate, is currently consulting with a number of stakeholderson his political future and the polity, where he is holidaying in the US.
Sources told NAN at the ANPP national headquarters that the party’s national chairman and presidential running mate, Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke, was leading his side.
Other members of the delegation included the National Secretary, Sen. Sa’idu Kumo, ANPP leaders in the Senate and House of Representatives,the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari and some national working committee members of the party.
NAN also gathered that a final deal was expected to be signed at the end of the talks.
The team is expected back to the country on Thursday, after the three-day consultation.
Chief Bisi Akande and Ume-Ezeoke, the national chairmen of the AC and ANPP, had, last week, confirmed to newsmen that the alliance was on course.
