Commercial drivers abandon vehicles to hawk fuel in Katsina
From
MU’AWUYA B. IDRIS, Katsina
THE current fuel scarcity facing most states in the country has
taken new dimension in Katsina, as commercial vehicle owners
have have resorted to selling fuel at black markets in the
state.
Daily Triumph checks revealed that operators of commercial
vehicles in the state are now major suppliers of fuel to the
black marketers. After they purchase the commodity at the NNPC
mega station at government price they resell it to the black
marketers at exorbitant price.
Further checks revealed that the commercial motorists no longer
ply roads rather resort to joining queues at the mega station to
get the commodity.
