Ungogo district head commends Emir Bayero

THE district head Ungogo local government council in Kano state, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ahmad Chedi, has commended the Emir of Kano, Alhaji (Dr.) Ado Bayero for educating his subjects on the importance of the ongoing voter registration exercise in the state.
The district head made the commendation while speaking to Daily Triumph in an interview at his palace.
Alhaji Chedi said the emir has achieved a lot considering the importance of voter register and urged all his village and ward heads in the area to enlighten their subjects on voter register.
He told our reporter that Ungogo district council has directed its entire ward and village heads to go round and enlighten the people on the significance of the exercise.
The district head told the people of Ungogo that voters register is their right as citizens of Nigeria and as such they should redouble their effort to make sure they are registered.
Commenting on the local government administration in the area, the district head saluted the newly posted sole administrator and expressed his office readiness to give him the much needed support to accomplish his task.
He called on all the people to rally round the SOLAD in order to enhance developmental programmes in the local government.
Alhaji Chedi also appealed to traditional rulers and Islamic scholars to always pray to Almighty Allah for the sustenance of the nation’s democracy.
