Gov Shekarau swears in eight SOLADs

KANO state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau. has sworn-in the remaining eight local government sole administrators who were at the pilgrimage during the last ceremony.
The governor, cut the weekly state council meeting to attend the event, which was held at the Government House, Kano, yesterday.
The swearing-in was administered by the Solicitor-General of the state, Alhaji Surajo Sa’idu who was represented by the director in the office, Alhaji Mukhtar Sani Daneji.
The new sole administrators sworn-in are Alhaji Rabi’u Aliyu Doguwa, Ibrahim Malami, Yusuf Musa Kibiya, Alhaji Balarabe Hassan, Yusuf Abba Ibrahim, Alhaji Sani Dawaki, Lawan DanBala and Wakili Baba.
Governor Shekarau reminded the sole administrators to give priority to the basic needs of the people and desist from undertaking pledges that they could not redeem.
He further reminded them on the need to accord special regards towards upholding Islamic injunctions through activities of such bodies as the Sharia, Hisbah and Zakkat commissions among others.
Malam Shekarau also advised people in the state to cooperate with the new sole administrators by contributing meaningfully to the development of their respective areas.
The occasion was attended by members of the state executive council, ulamas, politicians and well wishers.
