NFL receives commendation
Secretary to the Imo State government, Chris Okewulonu has praised the board of Nigeria Football League (NFL) for its giant strides in bringing big innovations to the Domestic League.
Okewulonu made this commendation in a chat with KICK OFF shortly after watching Sunday's Week Two Premiership cracker between Heartland and visiting Enugu Rangers.
"The leadership of NFL deserves a lot of commendation for bringing sanity into the Nigerian league. I must say that I was particularly amazed when the cheque for N10m was given to all clubs in the premiership league. It is an innovation that must be sustained and built upon," stated the former boss of Heartland FC.
He appealed to club sides to judiciously spend the money on prescribed areas as directed by the NFL.
