Tofa SOLAD extols Shekarau’s leadership style

THE sole administrator of Tofa local government council of Kano state, Alhaji Ibrahim Nasiru Rimin Dako has extolled the good leadership style of Governor Ibrahim Shekarau.
The sole administrator who spoke to Daily Triumph in an exclusive interview with our reporter in Kano, Wednesday, observed that through his ability to lead the state well, Governor Shekarau has ensured peaceful co-existence in the state.
According to him, since the governor assumed the mantle of leadership of the state in 2003, the entire people of the state have known peace.
His vision to introduce some laudable programmes like increase of worker’s salary, Tsangaya, Hisbah Board, Hubsi, Sharia Commissions and the Directorate of Anti-corruption, he said, had made the governor to turn around the state.
There are few among the various laudable programmes carried out by the Shekarau’s administration.
On the assumption of office, the sole administrator found it necessary to emulate the qualities of the state governor in running the affairs of the local government.
As Malam Shekarau runs the affairs of the state in transparency, accountability and good governance, the sole administrator said, he would definitely borrow a leaf from the governor for transparency and good governance.
Alhaji Rimin Dako said, immediately he assumed office, he did not hesitate to send over 100 youths to Sani Abacha Youth Centre and about 100 others to Kwakwaci Training Centre for skills acquisition in computer sciences who have since started attending classes.
He used the opportunity to express delight over the warm reception he received from the local government especially the Director of Personal Management (DPM), district head, business community, politicians and the entire people of the area, promising to carry all along.
As he met with district, village and ward heads, Islamic scholars, politicians, business, community and all other relevant bodies in the area on the importance of the on going voter registration exercise, he advised all and sundry to get registered so that they can exercise their civic responsibilities in the forthcoming general elections.
He said it is only the people who can cast their votes to the candidate they consider credible.
He also assured the people of the area that he would construct Tofa to Dawakin Tofa to Doka roads in order to ease transportation problem in the area.
The administrator also pledged to provide adequate portable drinking water in the area so as to make water shortage a thing of the past.
