3 Brigade gets new Commander

A NEW commander has assumed office at the 3 mechanized brigade, Kano, last week.
Brigadier A.K. Vigo who was until now the commander operation to restore hope in the Niger Delta, replaced General M.D. Isah who is currently on posting to the National War College (NWC), Abuja.
In his farewell speech, the outgoing commander. He also thanked all soldiers and officers of the brigade for their support and loyalty through out his tenure as the commander, urging them to extend same to the new commander. General Vigo was presented with the I division Nigeria Army line-yard and the 3 Brigade flag during the taking over ceremony at the brigade parade ground.
The new flag and the line yard are symbols of the new commander’s official take-over of the brigade.
In his taking over remarks, the new commander thanked the outgoing commander for his maturity in the handling of the brigade and congratulated him on his new appointment.
He further wished him a fruitful and successful stay in his new post of responsibility at the National War College (NWC), Abuja.
General Isah was presented with the ceremonial quarter- guard salute as a respect for an outgoing commander before his final departure.
He, however, used the opportunity to thank the people of Kano state and the royal father Alhaji (Dr.) Ado Bayero for their love and support, and prayed for a better understanding between the people of the state and the brigade.
