Garban Kauye tasks Kano people on future challenges
By MUH’D HAMISU ABDULLAHI

AS election draws near, there is need for all ANPP members in the nook and crannies of Kano state and Nigeria as a whole to form a formidable force in order to face the future challenge squarely.
Giving this advice in Kano recently was Alhaji Hassan Garban Kauye Farawa, an ANPP stalwart in Kumbotso local government area of the state.
Alhaji Farawa, who posited that unity among party members is very necessary for a better result to be achieved during this year’s election which is barely three months ahead, explained further that unity itself forms the background of all success.
He strongly cautioned that time has passed when people or party members should base their political activities on rancour or hooliganism, adding that what is now seriously needed is a team work, which all party members are expected to develop such a spirit and cooperate with one another so as to enable the party win elections at all levels.
Those of them in the ANPP, he said, must now gear their activities towards ensuring that all the party’s candidates from councillorship through council chairmen, state Assembly members, National Assembly members to state governors and the presidential one emerge victorious during the various elections to be held this year.
He advised Nigerians to ensure that General Muhammadu Buhari becomes the next president of the country, reiterating that ANPP members throughout the nation are sure that other parties do not play any significant role in the forthcoming elections.
He said now they would intensify effort to see that members of other political parties in Kano and Nigeria at large decamp to ANPP, his political party.
Alhaji Farawa advised whoever is aggrieved in the ANPP to forgive and forget and work for the success of the party, praying that by God’s grace, Governor Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano will clinch the next gubernatorial election in the state.
He also extolled the credibility of General Buhari, expressing optimism that by God’s will, the General would become the next president, pointing out that the ANPP president flagbearer would defeat that of the PDP, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’adua because Buhari has better qualities than Yar’adua, he stressed.
He equally used the opportunity to hail the leadership style of the state ANPP chairman, Alhaji Sani Hashim Hotoro, calling for more support and cooperation from the party members to enable him stear the wheel of the party to better destination.
