Brown’s goals sink Kaduna utd
League defending champions, Ocean Boys recorded an emphatic 2-0 victory over Kaduna United Sunday in one of the round four fixtures of the 2007 Globacom Premier League matches, reports Nigeriansportsonline.
Strike star, Brown Adeje scored both goals in either half of the match, first in the 44th minute with a bicycle kick inside of the area.
Brown made victory certain for the home side when he scored again with only three minutes left on the clock.
The result is the second by the title holders in the current campaign, having beaten new comers, Prime FC 2-1 in their first home match of the season.
Meanwhile, Lobi Stars recorded a 1-0 win over Nasarawa United in one of the round four Group B matches at Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
Coach Zachary Baraje of Nasarawa United took the result in good faith saying that they will make up with consequent matches.
“That’s football for you. We played well but somehow the goals refused to come. Sometimes it happens like that and we only go back to the drawing board believing to get better results in subsequent games”, Baraje said.
In Port Harcourt, Dolphin were held to a scoreless draw by Gombe United. It is Dolphins second home draw in the four week old season.
The Coca-cola FA Cup title holders are yet to taste victory in the season having drawn all three games with a match on hard away to Nasarawa United. The round one tie was put on hold following armed robbery attack on Nasarawa United’s players at their camp few hours to match time.
