D/kudu people urged to iniatiate
developmental projects
INDIVIDUALS and community organisations in Dawakin Kudu local
government council of Kano state, have been urged to continue
initiating projects that will supplement government’s effort
towards improving the living standard of the people in the area.
The sole administrator of the local government council, Alhaji
Muhammadu Sani Koguna made the call while addressing the local
government members of A Daidaita Sahu Committee and that of the
Youth Council during a courtesy visit to the administrator.
Alhaji Koguna maintained that his administration would team up
with community associations toward the development of the area,
and assured of giving emphasis to developmental projects.
He, therefore, charged the committee members and the youth
council to step up effort toward educating the people on good
governance.
In their separate responses, the chairman of A Daidaita Sahu,
Alhaji Musa Danladi Dawakin Kudu and the Youth Council chairman,
Alhaji Abdullahi Munkaila Shadai, said they were at the local
government secretariat to congratulate the administrator on his
appointment and assured him of their cooperation to ensure the
achievement of his desired objective.
Meanwhile, the sole administrator of Dawakin Kudu local
government council, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Koguna has pledged to
give priority to the agricultural sector.
The administrator made the pledge while speaking at the opening
of a sensitization workshop on the New National Special
Programmes for Food Security, organized for farmers in the area.
Alhaji Koguna maintained that the council would ensure the
provision of sufficient fertilizer at subsidized rate and other
agricultural inputs to the farmers.
He, therefore, assured that the local government would support
the programme to boost food production in the area.
Earlier, the coordinator of the programme, Malam Salisu Isa had
explained that the programme was introduced by the federal
government to boost food production in the country.
He said Dawakin Kudu is one of the benefiting local governments
in the state and so far, over N11 million has been spent under
the programme in the area.
He, therefore, requested the local government to join hands with
other contributors to ensure the success of the programme.
