By ALIYU YUSUF

KANO state House of Assembly, has confirmed the appointment of sole administrators for three local government councils in the state.
The appointments followed some effected made on the names hitherto presented to the House, but which were found to have some problems regarding the appointees’ local governments of origin.
According to the Majority Leader of the House, Ahmad Tambaya Dawanau, those appointments which have problems in their local government of origin were from Gaya and Bunkure local government areas.
He pointed out that after the clarification of the problem, Auwalu Usman Garba ‘Yar Gaya and Abubakar Tata Murabus from Bunkure local government were confirmed as sole administrators.
While the appointee from Wudil local government who was confirmed by the House is Baffa Saleh as against the incorrect name of Baffa Sani that was earlier presented to the House.
In a related development, the Speaker of the House, Hon. Balarabe Sa‘idu Gani, has announced the formal decamping of Hon. Yusuf Ibrahim Lajawa representing Wudil constituency from PDP to ANPP.
The Speaker then directed the standing committee of the House to hasten up and conclude their committees assignment on the 2007 budget monitoring before Friday of the week to enable the House conduct third reading on the budget.
It could be recalled that the standing committees have for the past two weeks been inviting state ministries, parastatals and other agencies for the defence of their respective organisations’ budgets.
