SOSG set to check fuel scarcity
From ABBA LAWAN KURAMAWA, Sokoto

THE Sokoto state government has expressed displeasure over the scarcity of petroleum products in the state which is causing untold hardships to the people.
A press release issued to newsmen and signed by the Director of Press Affairs, Government House, Sokoto, Alhaji Mustapha Shehu, urged the people of the state to bear with the situation as all possible measures are being employed to solve the situation.
The release said as part of the measures, the state monitoring committee on the distribution and sale of petroleum products has been dissolved and a new one would be established to ensure adequate supply and proper monitoring and sale of the products to effectively address the situation.
According to the release, the Sokoto state government commended the people of the state for their patience despite the hardships caused them by the scarcity.
It therefore, hoped that the same decorum and patience would continue to be exhibited as it is poised to bring the situation under control.
