As Shekarau attends INEC verification: Kano ANPP delivers on promises, says Hotoro

KANO state ANPP has delivered its promises to the teaming masses, the state ANPP chairman, Hon. Sani Hashim Hotoro has asserted.
He spoke in Abuja when he accompanied the state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, who is also the party’s flagbearer to INEC office for the Commisions verification exercise last Saturday.
Earlier, before the screening, INEC chairman, Prof. Maurice Iwu had said that the commission was given the mandate and authority to screen contestants in line with section 131 and 137 of the constitution.
The INEC chairman who said that it is not the work of INEC to disqualify candidates, but the constitution, promised an open and transparent exercise.
On his part, the state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau expressed satisfaction with the way the exercise was conducted.
The governor was accompanied by the state ANPP chairman, other party executives, state commissioners, special advisers, former council chairmen and party supporters.
