CNPP alleges defacing, removal of aspirants’ posters in Katsina

THE Coalition of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Katsina state chapter, has decried the unlawful defacing and removal of posters of aspirants from other political parties by the some suspected PDP thugs in the state.
In a petition addressed to the commissioner of police, director State Security Service and INEC in the state, the coalition alleged that some posters of the parties were removed by the PDP thugs at Kefir, Matzo and Laden Wapas roundabout.
The petition letter, which was signed by the representatives of 11 political parties, alleged that after removing their aspirants` posters, the thugs replaced them with those of the PDP presidential and gubernatorial aspirants.
The petition however warned that members of the coalition had resolved to retaliate, but ``we restrain them in the interest of overall peace and stability in the state.
The coalition appealed to security agents to stop the unlawful removal of the posters by the suspected PDP thugs, saying every party has the right to paste the posters of its aspirants.
