DPP guber candidate disburses vehicles to LGCs coordinators

THE DPP 2007 gubernatorial candidate in Kano state, Gen. Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd), has disbursed 180 vehicles to his campaign co-ordinators in the 44 local government areas of the state.
Gen. Magashi, who revealed this in an exclusive interview with Daily Triumph, explained that the gesture is to enable the campaign co-ordinators visit all the nooks and corners of the state.
The aspirant, who spoke through the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Isa Jihadi, stated that those who received the vehicles included youth leaders, ward chairmen, secretaries and public relations officers.
He pointed out that the gesture would be a continuos process aimed at enlightening and mobolising party members especially at the grassroots level.
Similarly, the aspirant disclosed that he is contesting to set a new precedence in terms of providing socio-economic infrastructure which previous government failed to achieve, adding that if elected, his administration would revive cotton and rice production in addition to improving electricity supply and commercial activities.
He then enjoined his party members to support his candidature and easure that they revalidate their voter registration card before the and of this month.
