Singabele blasts Lulu
THE Nigeria Football Association has lampooned executive committee member Dr Peter Singabele for the press conference he called in Lagos on Tuesday, hotsportslive.com reports.
The member from the south-south zone had told the press that he and a couple of board members had been left out of decision-making in the NFA and felt bad about Sani-Lulu Abdullahi's 'autocracy'.
But the association, responding immediately, said Singabele's action was in bad taste since the statutes say the executive committee must meet at least four times a year and the first meeting for the year was due for Saturday this week in Abuja.
"It is inconceivable that Dr Singabele would go ahead to address a press conference when we are having a meeting on Saturday, and he has been fully notified, and he also knows that the emergency committee is mandated to handle all issues before the meeting of the executive committee", said the statement.
The NFA also wondered why Dr Singabele, who is from the south south zone, would choose to address the media in the south west area.
