British Council Express Forum kicks-off ‘morrow

THE British Council Nigeria Management Express Forum kicks-off tomorrow at Conference Hall B, Royal Tropicana Hotel, Kano.
A statement signed by Rabi Isma, Centre Services Manager, British Council, Kano and made available to Daily Triumph, indicated that the topic of the seminar is ‘’Growing yourself and your organization.’’
‘’The presenters are Clive Wilson and Russell Evans, Management Training and Consultants, Primeast, UK,’’ it added.
According to the statement, Management Express consists of a set of products developed by the British Council for professionals to assist them in the development of their careers, and it consists of five related elements, but each component is designed to stand alone.
The products include Management Express core collection of management materials selected by key UK management sector professionals, which is updated annually and available for use through British Council Centres.
Management Express Forum is a network of professionals who meet regularly to discuss current management topics and to network with peers and experts, the statement added.
It also added that Management Express newsletter is free and made available to centre members, and it provides monthly in-depth articles about current topics in the management field.
Management Express fast track series is a self-access continous professional development series aimed at early career managers or recent graduates intending to pursue a career in management, resulting in a British Council Professional Development Certificate for candidates who score above the pass mark in the series knowledge check test.
There are seven courses, which are available to British Council Centre members only such as leading your team, starting your own business, business plans that produce results, effective influencing and negotiating, coaching and monitoring performance management, getting the job you want.
Management Express online community is also to be made available in Nigeria in 2007 and is a virtual means of continuing discussions in between physical management express forum meeting.
