Lawmaker drums-up support for
Shekarau

MEMBER Representing Kumbotso constituency in the Kano state
House of Assembly, Hon. Aminu Sani has called on the people of
his constituency to support his party, ANPP and the candidature
of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau in the second term bid.
Hon. Sani made the plea while addressing members of Kumbotso
Unity and Welfare Development Association who paid him a
thank-you-visit at his Assembly office, Wednesday.
The lawmaker pointed out that all the constituency projects he
executed, would not have been possible without the good
leadership of Governor Shekarau, saying more projects are
underway.
He noted that eventhough the electorate have a lot of demands on
projects that will better their lives, he would do all he could
to ensure that more projects are executed for the people of the
constituency.
Hon. Sani therefore, described the visit as a clear indication
that the people of Kumbotso are appreciating what he has been
doing to them and other wards of the constituency in general,
promising to extend their complaints to the governor as soon as
possible.
Earlier in his address, the secretary of Kumbotso Unity and
Welfare Development Association, Alhaji Rabiu Idris had said
that they embarked on the visit to express their appreciation
over the construction of Islamiyya school in Kumbotso town as
well as that of Juma’at mosque.
Alhaji Idris explained that the provision Islamiyya school to
the people of Kumbotso would contribute immensely to the Islamic
education of their children.
Speaking on the Juma’at mosque, the secretary expressed his
gratitude to Almighty God for making the project a reality as
well as the member for their untiring effort to that effect.
He also thanked the state governor and the Emir of Kano, Alhaji
(Dr.) Ado Bayero for a befitting commissioning ceremony of the
mosque.
He therefore, used the forum to call on the member to use his
good office for the provision of generating set and construction
of shops that would serve as a source of revenue gene ration for
the maintenance of the mosque.
Alhaji Rabiu, while congratulating the member for winning his
primary election, stressed the need for the member to further
assist the people of Kumbotso in the renovation of
Tamburawa-Kumbotso-Diga road for effective linkage to the
council’s headquarters and neighboring villages.
