Abdullahi Bayero book launch
rakes N15m

MORE than N15 million has been realized as a doof Sokoto, His
Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar extolled the good
virtues of late Emir Abdullahi Bayero, saying that if present
leaders could follow his footsteps the country would be great.
Also speaking, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon.
Aminu Bello Masari challenged people to copy from the sterling
qualities of the late emir.
He commended the author of the book for a good work, saying that
such a work is very important to the society, particularly as it
would enable the new generation to learn the great service done
to society by great leaders of his salt.
On his part, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji (Dr.) Ado Bayero expressed
delight to all those who participated in the publishing of the
book and thanked those who, besides their schedule, felt it deem
to attend the occasion.
Others who spoke included the former Nigeria’s Permanent
Representative at the United Nations, Alhaji (Dr.) Yusuf Maitama
Sule, Danmasanin Kano who was the guest speaker and the chief
launcher, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar among others.
During the launching, more than N15 million was realized as a
donation with the highest of N7 million coming from the chief
launcher, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar, Kano state government N2
million, Speaker Bello Masari N1 million, Alhaji Sama’ila Isa
Funtua, chairman Bullet Construction Company, Abuja, N1 million,
Senator Ahmad Aruwa N1 million, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammadu Abubakar
Rimi N250,000, Triumph Publishing Company, N50,000 and Kano
Emirate Council N1 million.nation during the launching of a book
on the biography of late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Abdullahi Bayero
a.ka. Sarki Alhaji.
Speaking at the occasion, the chief host and Kano state
governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau said remembering the late emir
is binding to all Kano people owing to the achievements the
state recorded during his reign.
Governor Shekarau who described the late emir as revolutionary
and Godly, urged people to emulate his quality of leadership.
Malam Shekarau who expressed his pleaasure for the late emir for
having a worthy successor, commended the present emir, Alhaji
(Dr.) Ado Bayero for his concern on the plight of his subjects.
