Insecurity, unemployment obstacles to nations’ devlpt -Dr. Ali

A REKNOWNED Islamic scholar in Kano state, Dr. Yusuf Ali has observed that the greatest obstacles to the development of the nation are in security and unemployment.
Speaking to Daily Triumph in an exclusive interview, Dr. Ali said while Nigeria is blessed with abundant natural resources yet the masses are not free from poverty and unemployment.
Sheikh Ali advised Nigerian leaders to forge ahead and address issues of insecurity and hunger as a means of finding a lasting solution to the nation’s problems.
He said Nigeria as a nation requires the greatest challenges ahead to raise the generations as the country is heading towards 2007 elections.
Sheikh Ali charged President Olusegun Obsanjo to provide adequate security and employment opportunities to the youths inorder to address social vices among the Nigerian youths.
He also enjoined those at the helm of the nation’s affairs to provide meaningful and responsible leadership to the teeming masses across the nation.
The scholar charged leaders at all levels to fear God and provide qualitative leadership to Nigerians.
Sheikh Ali also expressed concern over the alarming rate of crime in some parts of the country.
