Satatima lauds Kano Gov
AN elder in Warawa local government council in Kano state who is also Action Congress (AC) Kano Central Senatorial candidate, Alhaji Gwadabe Satatima has to commended the state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau for appointing civil servants to run the affairs of government in the state.
Alhaji Satatima made the remarks over the weekend during a meeting with the sole administrator of Warawa local government and elders of the area.
He described the action as not only justifiable but would also go along way in providing a playing ground for all political parties in their election campaigns.
The AC chieftain observed that appointing politicians as sole administrators and at the same time contesting the same position is not only wrong but also undemocratic.
Satatima, who also hailed from Warawa local government, further described the meeting as a milestone towards unifying elders of the area towards building a strong and viable society and therefore, advised the sole administrator to ensure the execution of projects that would ensure the rapid development of the area.
He lamented that, the area has been left behind in the area of education, healthcare services and good road network despite the millions of naira allocated to the local council from the federation account.
The senatorial candidate also used the forum to reaffirm his commitment towards Kano central senatorial district also solicited for the support of the entire people of Warawa local government area.
Earlier, the sole administrator of the local government, Alhaji Ibrahim Malami Yelwar-Danziyal had said the meeting was aimed at intimating sons of the soil on the poor development effort by the previous administrations in the area and solicited for their contribution towards the development of the area.
Yelwar Danziyal also pledged to operate open door policies which will along way in harassing the abundant resources in the area.
Other elders who spoke during the meeting included the district head of Warawa, Alhaji Lamido Sunusi, Alhaji Umar Farouk Abdullahi Danlasan and member representing the area in state House of Assembly, Alhaji Isah Garba.
