Kiru council vows to solve water shortage

KIRU local government council in Kano state has pledged to accord greater considerations towards solving the problem of acute shortage of potable drinking water in the area.
The sole administrator, of the council, Alhaji Ibrahim, Isyaku revealed this in an interview with Daily Triumph.
He explained that such is necessary in view of the pathetic situation of inadequate supply of water for both domestic and animal consumption.
The sole administrator confirmed that on his inception, he had embarked on a physical assessment tour to ascertain the areas and type of measures to address the issue.
According to him, his council would embark on the construction of boreholes, provision of electric generators to supply the over head water reservoir in the villages.
Similarly, the sole administrator stated that his council resolved to prioritise the supply of water considering its importance to our daily activities.
Other areas he pledged to give similar consideration included health care delivery programmes, boosting of education and food security among others.
He then commended the effort and zeal of the people of the area for their support and cooperation that guarantees peaceful co-existence.
Alhaji Abdulkadir who is the village head of Jemagu in Warawa local government area thanked the traditional title holders in Kiru for their support toward enlightening their subjects and participation in the on-going voter revalidation exercise.
