SID supports Sule Lamido’s candidature

The Jigawa state Student Independent Democrats (SID), has supported the candidature of Alhaji Sule Lamido to become the next governor of the state.
The Student Independent Democrats said that, their support has become necessary considering the track records of Sule Lamido in both political and administrative spheres of life.
This was made known in a press release issued and signed by the organization’s president, Comrade Aminu Aminu, a copy of which was made available to the Daily Triumph correspondent in Dutse.
Comrade Aminu Aminu added that, Student Independent Democrats have agreed to support the competent and credible candidate that will improve the welfare of Jigawa state people in all aspects of life.
He also said, that Sule Lamido has contributed immensely toward the development of old Kano state, as could be attested in his role, during the second republic were he served as the chairman of the old Kano state PRP.
Comrade Aminu also explained that, Alhaji Sule Lamido has proved himself,considering the way and manner he conducted himself, as the foreign affairs minister, from 1999-2003.
He further said, if the people of Jigawa give their mandate to Sule Lamido in the upcoming election, he will upgrade education, health care, portable drinking water and agriculture.
Comrade Aminu further said, Student Independent Democrats have no doubt that, if Lamido is elected Jigawa state governor, he would improve the basic infrastructures for urban and rural dwellers in the state.
Comrade Aminu said, their organization is an amalgamation of ten student and youth associations which agreed to be referred to as Students Independent Democrats saying, ‘’it is our wish to join hands together in order to assist and actualize the ambition of Sule Lamido to become the next Jigawa state governor.’’
