Britain interested in Nigeria’s
electoral process -- Gozney

THE United Kingdom is watching with great interest Nigeria’s
first transition from one civilian administration to another
between April 14 and 21, 2007.
According to a news release signed by Graemie Bunntyne, of Press
and Public Affairs Unit of the British High Commission in
Nigeria, the statement was made by Sir Richard Gozney, the
British High Commissioner.
Mr. Gozney who made the remark at INEC media conference
yesterday added that “we look forward to 29 May as an
opportunity to congratulate Nigeria on the transition, on the
important reforms made between 1999 and 2007 and the prospect of
more reforms to come“.
He said Britain is closely following the registration process
and INEC’s other extensive preparations,“ adding that the party
