D/Kudu council launches Sharia-compliant
measurement
DAWAKIN Kudu local government council of Kano state, has
launched the use of Sharia compliant measurement Mudu in the
area.
Speaking at the occasion, the sole administrator of the area,
Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Koguna explained that, the Mudu was
introduced to sanitized the measurement of grains and other
measurable items in the society.
He, therefore, called on the people to assist the government in
its effort toward the implementation of the Shariah legal system
in the area and the state in general.
Also speaking, the deputy chief Imam of Dawakin Kudu, Alhaji
Kabiru Yahaya, commended the Shekarau administration for making
Sharia a reality in the state.
He called on the Muslim Ummah to abide by the teachings of
Shariah in all their activities.
In his remarks, the district head of Dawakin Kudu, Dan Iyan
Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Bayero, who was represented by Alhaji Tasi’u
Yahaya, urged the village and ward heads in the area to
enlighten their people on the use of the measurement in their
markets.
Meanwhile, relief materials worth thousand of naira were
distributed to the victims of the fire incident in Tamburawa
town of the area.
Distributing the materials, the sole administrator Alhaji
Muhammadu Sani Koguna, said the materials were donated to the
victims to alleviate their suffering.
He, therefore, called on the people to be extra carefully while
dealing with fire to avoid the reoccurrence of the similar
incident.
The head of social and community department of the area, Alhaji
Muhammadu Uba Gezawa said all the beneficiaries would benefit
from the assistance by being given a bag of grain, salt, mat,
blanket and clothing materials and called on them to make good
use of the materials.
Responding, one of the beneficiaries, Malam Umar Musa commended
the council for the donation and assured them of making
judicious use of the materials.
