Dambatta SOLAD tasks district, village heads

THE sole administrator of Dambatta local government council of Kano state, Alhaji Baffa Sai’du has tasked district, village and ward heads to give him maximum support and cooperation in the discharge of his duties.
The administrator whio paid a working visit to the Palace of the District Head of Dambatta, Sarkin Bai, Dr. Alhaji Mukhtar Adnan (OFR), said his visit is aimed at promoting cordial relationship and to seek advice on how to carry out his duties effectively for the betterment and development of Dambatta.
According to him, his main assignment as directed by Kano state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, is to ensure that people get their voters’ registration cards which will give them the chance to vote during the elections.
Alhaji Saidu who also stressed the need for the districts, village and ward heads to approve only indigenes said he would not sign any form which has no clearance from the office of the district head.
In his response, the district head of Dambatta, Alhaji (Dr.) Mukhtar Adnan, who commended the administrator, assured him of support.
He then called on the people of his domain to accord the administrator their support so as to enhance development of the area.
On the issue of indigene form, Dr. Adnan said they were aware of the importance of the form, adding that only recently, the Emir of Kano, organised a seminar on its importance.
In his address, the director, personnel management (DPM), Alhaji Nuhu Uba Kiru commended the district head for mobilising his subjects on the importance of the registration exercise.
