Ogun loses three senior health officials in auto crash
The Ogun state ministry of health has lost three senior officials in an autocrash on Lokoja road.
They are Dr Tunde Osibogun, who until his death, was a director in the ministry, Mrs Ronke Otulana, the state coordinator for NPI and Dr Leke Adeleye, an epidemiologist.
Mr Yinka Ogunyinka, the ministry's information officer, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the officials were returning from a meeting in Kaduna.
``The development has dealt a serious blow to the ministry and the entire state, particularly the health sector.
``We have lost some of our most dutiful and dedicated health officials and the vacuum created by their demise will be difficult to fill,'' Ogunyinka said.
The remains of Adeleye and Otulana have been buried in Abeokuta and Ijebu-Ode respectively, while the remains of Osibogun will be buried at a later date.
