Hajj 2007: KTSG
appoints govt’s delegation

KATSINA state governor, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’adua, has approved the
constitution of the state government delegation to lead the state pilgrims
to 2007 Hajj operation.
The delegation is to be headed by the state Grand Khadi, Alhaji Muhammad
Isah Dodo.
A press statement issued by the Office of Secretary to the Government of the
State (SGS) named Alhaji Abdulrazaq Lawal, chairman, House Committee on
Islamic Affairs, state House of Assembly and District Head of Baure, Alhaji
Umar Faruk Musa among the delegation.
The statement which was signed by the District Head of Bakori, Alhaji Sule
Idris Makaman Katsina said Alhaji Bello A. Kofar Bai of the Islamic
Education Bureau is to serve as secretary.
According to the statement, the appointment of the chairman and members of
the government delegation was done out of the conviction that they will
ensure the success of the 2006 Hajj operation.
