INEC sacks 2 adhoc employees
The INEC in Sokoto state has sacked two ad hoc employees, who were arrested last week by the police in Sokoto for alleged illegal registration of some youths
The AIG, Zone 10, Sokoto, Alhaji Yakubu Muhammad told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) however, that ``the suspects were released to INEC for further investigation,as there was no evidence against them.
According to the AIG, the police will not continue to detain the suspects so as not to infringe on their fundamental human rights .
The INEC public relations officer, Alhaji Muhammad Musa, said that the commission wanted to really find out whether the officers were guilty or not.
He said that they would surely be taken back to the police for possible prosecution, if they were found guilty at the end of the '' in-house '' probe of their activities.
