Enyeama
adamant on Israel exit
Vincent Enyeama has continued to play up positive tunes on his
dream exit from Israel where he mans the post for Bnei Yehuda,
reports Nigeriansportsonline.com.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper told Nigeriansportsonline.com from
his base in Israel that his planned summer move is still tied to
the apron strings of Yehuda because he still has one season left
on his contract with the club.
“There have been interests and inquiries from here and there and
I must say that it is about time for me to move on”, states the
former Enyimba shot stopper.
“I want to go to a bigger league elsewhere. And this I expect to
happen at the end of this season though I still have one year
left on my three-season contract with Bnei Yehuda”.
Enyeama did not reveal the clubs or countries that have made
inquiries about him, but Nigeriansportsonline.com recalls that
two English Premiership clubs, Bolton Wanderers and Wigan
Athletic had shown interest in the Nigerian international in the
past.
Bnei Yehuda are not finding the current campaign in the Israeli
league easy with a potential relegation threat facing them.
“No, we are not a relegation candidate at all”, Enyeama reacted
sharply on whether he will go down with the team if eventually
they fail to hit the safety mark.
“We are 4th from bottom on the table. And of course, only two
teams will be relegated at the end of the season. The season is
still a long way to go. The only problem is that we started on a
very bad note”. |
