Atiku vs Obasanjo:  Appeal Court orders parties to maintain status quo
The Court of Appeal, Abuja yesterday ordered parties to maintain “status quo ante belum” in the suit over the controversy between President Olusegun Obasanjo and his deputy, Atiku Abubakar.
The court, guided by the provision of Section 295 of the 1999 Constitution has also remitted the case to the Supreme Court for determination.

4,872 chickens culled down in Katsina *As disease resurfaces

COMMITTEE on bird flu in Katsina state has killed additional 3,882 chickens affected by the disease.
The killing of the chickens brought to total number of 4,872 chickens affected by the disease within the last two weeks.
Weekend Triumph learnt that so far, about three farms have been depopulated in the state while surveillance on other farms suspected to have bird flu is going on.

Fuel scarcity to persist unless -- PENGASSAN
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) says fuel scarcity will persist unless government builds more refineries.
Mr Lumumba Okugbawa, PENGASSAN’s Deputy General Secretary, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Lagos that the only solution to the reccuring fuel scarcity was for government to expand the existing refineries and build new ones.

NFA names Eagles coach Wednesday
The new Super Eagles sweat merchant is expected to be named by the Nigeria Footbal Association, NFA, in Abuja on Wednesday after an emergency meeting of the board, Nigeriansportsonline.com can report.
The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) is on the verge of announcing a technical adviser for the Super Eagles after they met with at least three coaches in London on their new search for a foreign coach for the Eagles.
